The renovation is now complete and after many months of being heavily involved in the project it is incredibly pleasing to hear what our guests are saying about their holidays at Loch an Eilein Cottage...
Our very first guest said:
"The cottage is absolutely beautiful and so luxurious, there's been real attention paid to detail, it's stylish, comfortable & relaxing. It's extremely well-equipped with everything you could ever need. Lovely touches like a hamper filled with fabulous goodies including wine, beer, shortbread, chocolates & nibbles (even dog treats!) as well as milk, coffee, tea & numerous other things you would usually need to take to a self-catering cottage.
The lounge is so comfortable with a fabulous armchair, big sofa & lots of cushions. I loved the window seats in the lounge and kitchen, you could look at the beautiful views for hours. I didn't use the wood-burning stove as it was very warm weather but the fact that it's double-sided to the bedroom will be wonderful at chillier times.
The bed is the comfiest I've ever slept in and the pillows are amazing (so much so I want to buy the same ones for home!) & the bed linen is of the highest quality. The bathroom is beautiful with a brilliant shower and whirlpool bath not to mention gorgeous Highland Soap Company products. There's even a tv to watch whilst you're in the bath!
There's a great selection of books and magazines as well as information on the local area which is beautiful with an abundance of things to do. The immediate surroundings are simply stunning with lots of lovely walks around the loch and views to die for. Sitting on the bench at the front of the cottage overlooking the loch is beautiful and so peaceful.
All in all, it's one of those places you never want to leave. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, I would highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious break to come and stay at the cottage, it would be impossible not to love it."
And, our second guests who just left yesterday, said:
“Wow, wow and wow! Location - amazing, views - magnificent, accommodation - first class! Make sure you take lots of food and drink when you stay at this cottage as you will never want to leave. The lochside location is superb, the cottage is the only inhabitable cottage at the loch and we felt extremely privileged to be able to stay there. The scenery constantly changes depending on the weather and even in the rain it is spectacular.
The cottage has been professionally designed and is absolutely gorgeous. It is a very comfortable space to live in and has everything you could possibly want, so even if the weather is not so good you will be very happy to stay in. A very, very special place where you will completely unwind and de-stress. We will be back!”
We're delighted that our guests are loving Loch an Eilein Cottage as much as we hoped they would.
